Letter from the President

Hello Everyone,

I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving with your loved ones. One holiday down and the biggie coming up so time to finish up those last minute projects or pack them up and say that you will have it done for next year. The holiday parties are starting and lets not forget the Guild party on December 14th at St Matthews church. The party kicks off at 6:30 and planned by our very special planner Sonya O’Sheilds. Bring a 20 dollar gift to swap and make a food item (or do what I do and buy it). Ham will be supplied by the guild.

With this being our last newsletter of 2023, I wanted to thank everyone for making this a great guild. The membership is at its highest ever. The location has been amazing, thank you Diane, Lorna and Janet for your help. Next I would love to thank everyone on the board who have gone out of their way to make it a guild you like being a member of:

Sue Bartlow -VP,

Kathy Cook- Treasurer,

Lian Monikowski -Secretary,

Pam Dean and Sally Bruer- Membership,

Members at Large- Tom Ramby and Helen Cordier,

Swag -Susan Yell and Leigh Ann Hubbard as well as The HST Challenge which was a complete success.

Charity-Lorna Vickers,

Newsletter and Webpage- Diane Loehr

Facebook- Cindy Otwell

We also don’t want to forget Sonya O’Sheilds and Debbie Lewis for their work on the Madison Street Festival

I would like to remind everyone that these are not paid positions and the job the team does is priceless. Thanks to everyone on the 2023 Board. After this meeting I turn over the keys to your new president Sue Bartlow. I know you will love her.

Two things to note:

If you have any 2023 guild expenses that you need to be reimbursed for, please give your receipts to Kathy Cook at the December meeting. 2023 receipts/expenses must be submitted before the end of the year.

It's that time of year to renew your membership. The link is up on the website and ready for you to use. Membership Renewal

Also, don’t forget to sell those opportunity quilt tickets.

Thank you for letting me be your President for 2023

David O’Dell
