Michelle's Latest Graphic Novel Recommendation

The Princess and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich

by Deya Muniz

This graphic novel is a sweet LGTQIA romance with lots of cheese references! Lady Camembert wants to live her own life, her own way. This does not include getting married to a man. Her dying father supports her, but because the inheritance laws dictate that she cannot inherit her father’s fortune unless she is married, he suggests she move to the land of Fondue, and take up life as Count Camembert. There, (as a man), she meets and falls in love with Princess Brie and her love is reciprocated. Complications ensue and readers will be cheering for this goofy(cheesy) couple to find a way to celebrate their love. gr 6+
