Timely Tech Tips and News From ITS
'Tis the season for giving thanks, and we would like to start with you. We have had another fantastic year working with our Business and Government clients, and appreciate the relationships we have developed over the years.

Outside of our normal helpdesk and support roles, ITS staff have also been involved in training opportunities. Our training sessions and seminars have focused heavily on security, awareness and preparation this year. ITS has always been security-minded and attempts to present the most-secure solutions to our clients. We have reached a point, though, where the conversations we have with our clients about security need to become more intense. The threats are growing and the impact more severe: look to ITS to be more focused on your security in the coming year.

We recently took time out from helpdesk tickets to snap some new team photos (we highly recommend Mandy @ MLStudios if you are in the market for team photos!) We will soon add a couple of additions to the squad: Chris Perry joins us as a part-time installation technician. You will find him traveling with Nick or Dallas for network, phone, door and surveillance installations. We are also in the process of hiring an additional Solutions Analyst to join our team of helpdesk technicians and provide daily on-site and remote support.

As always, it is a pleasure to serve you; we hope that our staff and services help make IT simpler for your staff, and look forward to supporting you in the coming year.

Joe Luse Retirement
After over three decades in the IT world, Joe Luse has retired from his personal business, 360 ComNet and his partnership with ITS. We began working with Joe in 2013, as a cloud-services partner for his 360 ComNet clietns cloud-based services. After ITS acquired 360 ComNet in 2017, Joe stayed on as a Business Analyst and became part of team ITS. We wish Joe and Cindy the best in their retirement years, and thank him for his years of friendship and service to the IT world.
Holiday Hours
If you are logging into your door system to change door times for Christmas and New Year’s holidays, consider changing all known holidays at once.

Remember that you can also change your business hours temporarily on facebook (or make a sticky post) and edit your  Google Business listing  to let your customers know your open/closed status.

The ITS office will be closed December 24, 25 and January 1. Emergency support is available per your support agreement - call our office number and listen for the prompts if you are calling outside of normal support hours.

Windows 7 Updates
If you still have Windows 7 machines in use, it is time to make plans for computer replacements. Windows 10 hit the market in July of 2015 and is the standard Operating System (OS) for Windows users. Windows 7 will reach End-of-Support in January of 2020, which means that Windows 7 will no longer be safe to use.

Windows 10 does bring several exciting security features, from biometric sign-in, touch-enabled screens, or even support from Cortana or Alexa! ITS will be releasing planning guides and materials in early 2019 to help you prepare for the Windows 7 end-of-support deadline.
