Nova Southeastern University (NSU) |

Located in Fort Lauderdale/Davie and built in 1964, NSU is one of Florida’s largest private research universities. With 150+ degree programs, academically this school has good programs and price points. NSU also offers Master's Dual Degree Programs which include: D.M.D./M.B.A., J.D./M.Acc., M.B.A. or M.S.R.E.D., and Pharm.D./M.B.A. A unique aspect of this school is that almost all undergrad classes are taught in one building. Primarily freshman and sophomores live on campus, while upperclassmen mostly live off campus, although on-campus housing is available all four years.

Florida Atlantic University (FAU) |
|
A top national university according to U.S. News & World Report, FAU is located in Boca Raton. This school is recognized as the most diverse public university in Florida. Taking into account the housing and the overall campus in general – it’s best described as tranquil. Out of state affordability makes FAU a great option to consider, especially if you are looking to escape from a cold winter state. For example, it would cost less for a student from Massachusetts to attend FAU rather than many of our in-state public universities.

With more than 19,000 students, UMiami is a top private research university just outside Miami in Coral Gables . This school is known for their academics, likely helped by their average smaller class size of 13 to 1 student/faculty ratio, as well as for their Division 1 athletic prowess. While UMiami’s total cost is over $80,000 a year, they DO offer very generous merit and financial aid packages for those that qualify including Veterans and ROTC types of aid as well.
