BLUE CHRISTMAS SERVICE
Christmas is not always a joyful time. For those of us who have lost loved ones, are in insecure environments, or are just struggling with life, the glitter of holiday lights is often not a sign of joy but of sorrow.  We will join together, Sunday, December 19 for a Blue Christmas taizé-style service to remember that the light of God shines upon and through us even in the darkness. CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS
Dayspring will once again be filled with beautiful poinsettias on Christmas Eve. Each plant is given as a memorial to, or in honor of, a special loved one or friend. In addition, gifts may also be made to UMOM ’s Shelter for the Homeless in lieu of a plant. Both of these gifts will be listed in our Worship Bulletins, projected before services on Christmas Eve and online. The deadline is 12 noon, Thursday, December 16. Learn more/order

SECRET SANTAS ARE STILL NEEDED
Secret Santas are still needed to provide some extra nurturing for someone in our church family by secretly sending them cards the 12 days before Christmas and brightening their Holiday Season. Email Pastor Joel to learn more or to sign up. Thank you in advance for reaching out and doing for others. It means the world to all who participate. We all need more joy this year!
REFUGEE FOCUS - CHRISTMAS GIFTS
We have partnered with Lutheran Social Services to sponsor a single parent family of five, and our goal is to fulfill as much of their wishlist as possible to show them that they are loved! If you feel called to donate and help us make their Christmas a memorable one, then please join in the fun of giving! Please contact the office or email Paola for more information.
FAMILY PROMISE
Thank you to all who helped and/or volunteered to help with Family Promise. Thank you to all who contributed in various ways to our hosting week. Unfortunately, a member of one of the families tested positive for covid and all of the families we were scheduled to host were subsequently quarantined. They stayed in a motel on Sunday and Monday nights. The Dayspring Youth provided and prepared dinners that were delivered to their motel doors on Sunday. Selah prepared and provided their dinners on Monday evening. The remainder of the week, the families quarantined in Glendale in a new transitional housing center Family Promise will be opening called House of Hope. We provided the requested breakfast and lunch foods to the Day Center for the families, as well as dinner gift cards the rest of the week. We will be hosting again the week of March 27. Thank you for your generosity and continued support of this ministry!
