Reminders for 2023

As we start the new year together, WellSense is excited to have you on our team with regard to helping more members aging into Medicare coverage get the plan that works best for them. Below are a few helpful details to keep in mind when doing so.

• Age-ins have a seven-month window to enroll that includes the month of their effective date as well as both of the three-month periods that come before and after the month of their effective date.
• Members who enroll in an MA/MAPD plan due to disability before age 65 also have a second IEP/ICEP when aging in at 65.
• The Social Security Administration has made some changes regarding when eligibility starts for Medicare Part B. Read more at ssa.gov.
