"Journey to the Future, Let's Learn Together"

The City of Punta Gorda has initiated a significant project to engage the community in the development of a Citywide Master Plan. When completed, the Citywide Master Plan will be a comprehensive vision document for our town. Before the public input phase begins, we thought it would be useful to provide some information to the public about the best principles in urban planning for small, special cities like ours. We also want to highlight best practices from other small cities that have already had success. Together, TEAM Punta Gorda and the City of Punta Gorda are embarking on a major public education strategy in January called “ Journey to the Future, Lets Learn Together.”    Read more
2019 Annual Community Meeting
The theme of the 2019 Annual Community Meeting is "Economic Development is a Team Sport." Come join us on Tuesday, January 29, at PGICA to learn how economic development can impact the future of "Florida's Harborside Hometown."

Paddle Punta Gorda
TEAM's 2018 Paddle Punta Gorda kayak event was a great success . We had over 80 registered paddlers who enjoyed accompanied trail tours by 8 Florida-certified naturalists. Four local trails were used: Alligator Creek, Peace River, Ponce de Leon, and Shell Creek.

After a morning on the trails, the paddlers returned to the Laishley Marina Community Room for lunch, sharing of experiences, and tee shirt distribution. A special shout-out to our many sponsors and volunteers.

Profit from the event will go toward maintaining and establishing local kayak launch sites.
