This year Samford Gives Back will take place on April 1, 2017. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved, including leading a group of volunteers through the Mann Center.

Students who participate will receive a t-shirt, Chick-fil-a breakfast and four convocation credits.

Cadre Proposals are now being accepted by the office of Spiritual Life for the Spring Semester. The purpose of Cadres is help students gain a deeper understanding of the Christian faith and its role in shaping their lives and our world. As a part of the larger Convocation program, this is your opportunity to respond to the spiritual needs you see on campus.

Log into banner, click on the "Spiritual Life" tab then select "Cadre Proposal Spring 2017" to read an FAQ an submit your proposal.

The deadline for proposals is  Friday, December 9th , but don't delay...propose today!
Student Leader Spotlight
Maddie Sundberg, senior
Maddie is a senior Journalism and Mass Communication major. She was selected for this recognition because of her investment in Samford students through her role as a Spiritual Life Assistant (SLA) and now as a guide to other SLA's. She also serves as photo editor for Entre Nous. Maddie serves as a great role model and mentor to many.

Marisa Nunez, senior
Marisa is involved in several areas on campus, including the Catholic Student Association and the University Fellows Program. Marisa has worked for the Fellows program and served as a preceptor. She also offers extra help whenever needed. During her time at Samford, Marisa has also worked closely with Birmingham City School and the Birmingham Education Foundation.

The Office of Student Leadership and Involvement seeks to recognize Samford students for their outstanding contributions to campus and community through the Student Leader Spotlight program.

Nominated students are not required to hold "official" leadership positions. The purpose of the spotlight is to recognize students who may not receive recognition otherwise. Students, faculty, and staff can nominate.
SGA President's Corner
Fellow Students,

Last night was Samford's traditional Christmas service, Hanging of the Green, and the Student Activities Council successfully hosted Lighting of the Way immediately following. I hope each of you were able to enjoy these long-lasting traditions!

We are having "Christmas with SGA" on Ben Brown Plaza next Thursday and we want to hear from you. Please come out and let us know what you would like to see in the coming semester!

Your SGA President,
Porter Rivers
