Christmas Holiday - Dec. 21 - Jan. 1

Principal's Points
Good Afternoon St. Stephen Families,

Most people are all familiar with the saying, the best advertising is word of mouth, and I'm sure you agree. If you needed a doctor, you would probably trust a recommendation from a friend more than a Google review. Therefore, we are reaching out to our families to help us get the word out about St. Stephen Catholic School. You have chosen to give your child(ren) the gift of a Catholic education in an environment where all children are appreciated for their individual gifts. Our students are loved and treated with respect and kindness. Our students have the opportunity to practice their faith daily, and Catholic values are integrated into all subjects. There are many great schools in this area that offer strong academic programs, but St. Stephen offers that and more. We offer the welcoming arms of our teachers, the joy and spirituality of our priests, and a school where all decisions are made based on what is best for our students. This is a message that should be shared and here is how you can do it.

Like us on Facebook, and follow us Instagram. When you see a post, like it, comment on it, and share the post. Ask others to share with their friends. This will help us get the word out to those who may not know about our school. We also want to thank you for these efforts. Families who refer someone to St. Stephen AND they enroll at the end of January, will receive a $50 gift card to Risse Brothers Uniform Company. In addition, both families will receive $50 off the re-enrollment/enrollment fee. So tell your friends and be sure to let them know to tell us how their heard about St. Stephen.

PTCO Gingerbread Holiday Shop

PTCO is excited to carry-on our tradition of a Christmas shopping experience for the students! In the past, we offered Santa Shop. This year, it will be called Gingerbread Holiday Shop. Students have the option to shop using the below virtual shopping link and/or the in-school contactless shopping experience. Please read carefully for dates and details.

Virtual Shop Open Now through 12/6/2020

We are excited to announce that our virtual Gingerbread Holiday Shop is open for shopping! With Christmas and the holidays right around the corner, your child(ren) can shop and find great gifts for the entire family from the convenience of your home. The virtual shop offers a much wider selection of gift options than the in-school contactless shop. Please note that If you choose to allow your child(ren) to participate in the in-school shop experience, it will be available at school 12/7 through 12/11. The virtual shop will close 12/6/2020.  See shopping link below.

In-School Contactless Shop 12/7/2020 - 12/11/2020

The in-school Gingerbread Holiday Shop will offer a safe and contactless walkthrough shopping experience for the students to select which items they want to purchase within their budget.  Budget forms for the in-school shop will be sent home today or tomorrow. If you choose to let your child(ren) participate in this in-school contactless shopping experience, then please help him/her complete this budget form which will serve as his/her spending limit. Only students who return the budget form to school will be allowed to shop. Please return it to school on or before your child(ren)’s shopping day and be sure to include your contact information so we can communicate how much you owe and payment directions. You will receive the class shopping schedule and more information in the letter attached to the budget form. Also, refer to the school website for more information.
We are in need of a few more volunteers to help with the in-school shop. Thank you to those who have already signed up. Please see the below signup genius link if you are interested in volunteering. Thank you!

If you have questions about the Holiday Shop, please contact Nicki Gallagher at

An Evening with Santa

Help Needed For Catholic Schools Week
Catholic School Week will be celebrated the week of January 31st. As in the past, we will celebrate our parish, our community, our teachers, our nation, and our students with fun and creative activities. More details about the daily events will be sent home in early January. In order to prepare for CSW, volunteers are needed to provide short videos for our students to view:
  • Short videos from retired military, veterans or active military about what our nation means to them.
  • Short videos from immigrants who are now US citizens or are in the process of becoming US citizens about why they chose America to be their home.
  • Short videos from various professions about their career and how their talents and hard work make a difference for the community. All different fields of employment are welcome!
If you can provide such a video, please contact for more details. The video can be a few minutes or slightly longer if you like. The video will not be needed until mid January.
Please help us make each day of CSW special for our students.

  • Face masks should fit snugly and comfortably
  • They must be secured with ties or ear loops
  • They should comprise multiple fabric layers
  • You should be able to breathe without restriction while wearing the face mask
  • You should be able to wash the face masks without causing damage or losing the face mask’s shape

Students will use their student ID number (from FACTS) and their password of 4321 to log into the site. Students can also use this account to check out ebooks on Overdrive or Libby, the digital reader programs used by the public library.
SSCS Library Access
Students can now check out books from our school library! Students can sign into our library catalog using Destiny Discover and put books on hold. Books will be delivered to their classrooms after being checked out. Flexible learning students can have their books picked up at the front office.
