2024 DSI Annual Conference

Deadline for Full Papers Midnight CDT TODAY

We will be accepting “full paper and award” submissions for the 55th Annual Conference of the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) in Phoenix, Arizona until midnight central daylight time today - June 10, 2024. Potential contributors may visit https://decisionsciences.org/conference/2024-annual-conference/ to obtain further information and make submissions.

All accepted full paper submissions are eligible for nominations in the following “Best Paper Awards” categories:

· Best Conceptual Research Paper

· Best Theory-Driven Empirical Research Paper

· Best Problem-Driven Analytical Research Paper

· Best Learning and Education Research Paper

· Best Interdisciplinary Paper

· Best Student Paper

Track chairs will consider all full paper submissions in their respective research tracks and nominate up to 3 papers for best paper awards. The winner in each category will be awarded $500.

DSI does not require full paper submissions to be included in the Conference Proceedings. Contributors can e-mail Proceedings Coordinator John Visich (jvisich@bryant.edu) to request that their submissions be excluded from the Conference Proceedings.

We also welcome full paper submissions to the “Doctoral Research Showcase” and the “Emerging Economies Research Showcase.” Accepted papers will be featured in designated sessions. These 20-minute presentations will be followed by 5-minute developmental feedback presentation by a senior DSI member, who will be assigned a discussant for the paper. The contributor will then have 5 minutes for rebuttal and comments. The winner of each showcase will be awarded $300.

Recent doctoral graduates who defended their dissertation in 2023 are encouraged to enter the “Elwood S. Buffa Doctoral Dissertation Award.” The winner will be awarded $1,500.

Finally, pedagogical contributions will be considered for the following awards:

· Instructional Innovation Award

· Best Teaching Case Studies Award

The winner in each category will be awarded $500.

DSI Announces DSJ Mini-Conference w/DASMALAI to take Place Friday, Nov. 22

DSI is excited to announce a DSJ Mini-Conference hosted by DSI at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa. This journal specific mini-conference will take place on Friday, November 22, 2024 – the day prior to the start of the 2024 DSI Annual Conference. This conference will focus on the healthcare industry, electronics/semiconductor industry as well as two sessions dedicated to the new DSI SIG, DASMALAI (Data Sciences, Machine Learning, and AI).

This mini-conference requires a separate registration. Fee is $120 for Faculty and $50 for Students. Add this extra day to your schedule!

Registration for the 2024 DSI Annual Conference is OPEN.

Register by September 9 to take advantage of the early discount. Remember, you must be an active member of DSI to register for and attend this conference. If not active, join first, then come back to register.

DSI has secured room rates of $205 for single or double occupancy. Only verified attendees of the conference will receive these rates. Reservation deadline is October 30, 2024 or until our room block is sold out, whichever comes first.
