Let's Talk at Our New CORE Conversations Near You
Starting in June, Dania Beach officials are heading into the community to launch CORE (Community Outreach Resident Engagement) Conversations, a new initiative designed to enhance communications and foster community connections for valuable input. Representatives from the City Manager’s Office, Broward Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement and Fire Rescue, Public Services, Permitting, Parks and Recreation, and Code Compliance will be present at each session.
These sessions will be held every third Tuesday of the month from June through October 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. at a community center or park in one of four quadrants of the city.

Next Oasis Neighborhood Project in Planning Stage
A neighborhood workshop will be held on Thursday, June 6 (NEW DATE), at 6 p.m. at CW Thomas Park Community Center to discuss the improvements for the following area: SW 6th, 7th, and 8th avenues (between SW 1st Street and W. Dania Beach Blvd.)
OASIS projects are focused on improving the physical quality of the city’s neighborhoods and improving the quality of life of its residents and visitors. Each is designed to improve specific streets with the goal of fostering neighborhood pride and improvement, and encourage owners and tenants to work together to beautify the city, to increase property values, and to reduce crime.

C.W. Thomas Park Construction Underway
It's happening! As part of the City's Parks Master Plan projects, C.W. Thomas Park renovations are underway. Demolition has begun to fields and pool facilities making way for new community center, gym and pool and new athletic fields and courts. The current community center will remain open for programs and activities. Completion of the project is expected in late 2025.

For your summer enjoyment, our ocean rescue team have extended lifeguard hours on weekends and holidays through Labor Day weekend. Always swim near an on-duty lifeguard for your safety.
