I should have posted that April 2nd was the Chapter's 16th Birthday. Can you believe we've been together that long as a Chapter?! I'm thankful for those who have been with us from the very beginning, like Deb Leftridge, Deb Singletary, Kweisi, Bro G, Ricky, Dottie, Deanna & Ramin, Nefer Atum, Baaba Shem, Neferkara & Baaba Mdutwi, Brother DJah DJah, Sekou.
I left off Dr. El H Gahn, Dr. Afrika, Dr. Kokayi, Dr. Woodbine, and Dr. Akua Gray—the Chapter Elders! —in the heavenly Chapter: Dr. Paul Goss, Dr. Afrika, Walter Canty, Medutwi, Dr. Sebi, Dr. Sabre, Okera Ras I, and Stephanie Alston Nero!
I love you guys, and I have learned a ton from everyone. We went from mere street vendors outside of Magic Johnson Theatre to doing Corporate Events—who knew?!

MEMORIAL SERVICES FOR MUNTU LAW
It is with the greatest sadness that we, the family of Muntu Law, must now officially share that our beloved Muntu passed away suddenly on the afternoon of Sunday, April 7, 2024 in Nassau County, New York.
We genuinely appreciate the calls and texts we've received from family and friends, and we recognize that her extended "family" of faithful clients, members of our community and many others on this platform share in our mourning.
We are devastated and, at this time, ask you for a moment of respectful privacy as we make her final arrangements.

20th Annual Wholistic Health and Wellness Fair - Virtual
The African-American Association will sponsor its 20th Annual Wholistic Health and Wellness Fair on April 20, 2024, at 3:00 PM, providing an afternoon of vital information. It will be a virtual event. The Zoom ID number is 895 7434 7940, and the Passcode number is 951615.
On May 18th at 1:00 PM, the Association will sponsor its 11th Annual Co-op City Spelling Bee for middle school children. It will be held in the Dreiser Community Center, 177 Dreiser Loop, Room 4. There will be prizes, refreshments, and more. Your entire family will enjoy the event. Please encourage middle school youngsters and their parents to participate.

Remember to get your seasonal detox in for Spring 2024!
We are a serious holistic health education organization with communities in dire need of what we offer. We are growing each year and tightening our policies to attract credible and serious practitioners to serve the communities nationwide and worldwide. After COVID-19, we have been getting calls for practitioner referrals, but only sometimes in the client's city or state of need. We need practitioners in all 50 states, so do consider joining!

Consider doing a seasonal detox. We have all made some indulgences, so it's time for a detox. Book your colon therapy appointment, do your juicing, and possibly a week or two of natural living so the body can release all the junk. If not, the body will self-detox as a cold, flu, or whatever your health issues are. Don't hesitate to contact our member holistic health practitioners and wellness centers if you need any guidance to detox. It must be done correctly, especially if the patient is diabetic or on medication.
While in many parts of our nation, the COVID-19 variant is rampant, let's keep our immune system in tip-top shape with lots of alkaline water and vitamin C & D + Multivitamins for starters!

As a Chapter, we promised to keep his work alive. He taught the community for many years to heal with nature. We have done an excellent job, but many students need to start using their healing skills for many reasons. He tasked the Chapter to be a safe space to help build confidence and incubate those needing support to develop their practice. Due to Covid, many requests come for holistic health referrals, but we need more practitioners.
Dr. Afrika wanted us to support and care for each other as students, practitioners, wellness center owners, and teachers. If you can work with teams of practitioners, there is a place for you in the Chapter. If not a practitioner, we are always in need of volunteers.
Dr. Llaila Afrika sanctioned us to form a Chapter. He intended for us to "Make it so" our mission of holistic health education in communities of color, and we have tried not to disappoint; we hope you agree.

He has aBachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University, CT '98, and holds a Bachelor of Professional Studies and a Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, NY '02.
He is a New York State licensed Acupuncturist, a Certified Sports Medicine Acupuncture Specialist and Diplomate in Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. (NCCAOM). He is also certified in Clean Needle Technique (CCAOM).
Bishara is a member of the Acupuncture Society of New York and the New York State Acupuncture Coalition.
In addition to acupuncture, his training in Traditional Chinese Medicine also includes: Tui Na Massage, Cupping, Moxibustion, Diet Therapy and Qi Gong Meditation. He is also a Rei Ki Master level practitioner.

I have been a healer practitioner for over 25 years. I received the gift of healing in my early 30's. I was not seeking to be a healer, although I came from a family with gifts. This beautiful gift was inherited from my grandfather, who was a Southern Baptist Preacher from a small parish in Louisiana called Grambling. People from nearby parishes came to hear him preach and witness his gift of healing as he laid hands on the congregation.

Nichole's interest in energy work began in 2010, after learning about and implementing the use of essential oils, crystals, and the Law of Attraction. Nichole received her Reiki attunements and training by Virginia Abel, RMT, of Lightstream Therapies, whose 30-plus years of experience as a Reiki Master includes trainings that were passed down from Dr. Viola Ebert, and Virginia Samdahl, one of the first twelve original Reiki Masters to be attuned and trained by Hawayo Takata, who brought Reiki from Japan to the West in 1937.
Hawayo was a chosen Master by Dr. Chugiro Hyashi, who was an original disciple of Mikao Usui (Usui Sensei), founder of the Reiki System of Healing. Within the 7 level system tradition, Takata is known as Reiki Grand Master Teacher.
Based on this history, Nichole's energy can be experienced in pure and authentic form. Her lineage can be traced closely to the Reiki Grand Masters, and the original founder.
Her love of channeling Reiki energy helps fuel her desire to provide care for others and serve the community. She has developed personalized integrative energy therapies, encompassing Reiki, crystal therapy, and essential oils. She has helped others reach personal goals through her work, combining crystal grids, energy work, and the Law of Attraction. This all-inclusive approach harnesses the power and potential of the etheric realms and the ever-abundant Universe !

When Dottie was just a child, she remembered noticing how her family in North Carolina treated various illnesses and sickness with natural herbs, foods, juices and other homemade remedies. However, most believers cannot do this because they have not been taught what the bible literally states! Rather, people are versed in man-made doctrines and denominational concepts. This course is designed to enable the student to have a realistic and practical knowledge of the biblcal text and how it should be applied.

1. Naturopathic Mastery Certification (NMAC) 2 yr ALOP Associate Program
2. Natural Health and Wellness Consultant Certification (NHWC) 1 yr program
3. Naturopathic Herbalist Certification (NHT) 1 yr program
4. Naturopathic Clinician Certification (NCT) 1 yr program
Please note short single course certifications do not qualify.
Board Certification with AADP requires you to go to their website and complete either the online application or you can download the application. You will need the following information: a complete application, current photograph, official copy of your A Life Of Peace Transcript, application fee, certification fee, and copies of your original certificate.
Board Certification with AANWP can be non-exam certification or through Board Examination certification. The applications are online on their website and pretty straight forward through the APPLY NOW link.
