Novalis Innovative Flooring Announces First US Production Facility
Novalis Innovative Flooring  will build its first U.S. production facility in Whitfield County. Novalis is investing $30 million dollars in the project and expects to create at least 120 new jobs.

In the words of their CEO, “this new location enables us to better service our customers while also helping to grow and support a community rich in the history of flooring manufacturing. It will support our commitment as a company to attract the best and brightest talent in the industry.”

Peeples Cancer Institute Now Open in Dalton, GA
Thanks to a legacy gift from Shelby and Willena Peeples, our community celebrated the opening of the Peeples Cancer Institute at Hamilton Medical Center. This 64,000 square foot facility has transformed Hamilton’s growing medical campus and will transform cancer care throughout our region. We are grateful for the investment Hamilton Health Care System continues to make in our community, and especially grateful for the generosity of the Peeples family.

FIRST Robotics Competition on March 6th & 7th
High school robotics teams from across Georgia will be competing in this fast-paced and challenging robotics competition. Robots that weigh up to 125 pounds will be competing to accomplish this year's challenge that was developed by Lucas Films and inspired by Star Wars. The event is free and family-friendly.

The competition begins on March 6 at 9AM and lasts until March 7 at 6PM at the Dalton Convention Center.
