We all love a big, classic yellow Daffodil. Their bold faces unfailingly lift our spring spirits, even from a distance as we whiz by in our cars. But as you add Arkle, King Alfred, Marieke, Camelot and Gigantic Star Narcissi to your landscapes, make sure to leave some up-close and personal space for some smaller-flowered varieties that are just as joyous and gorgeous.
Most of the daintier Narcissus flowers featured below are in the Cyclamineus, Jonquilla, Tazetta and Triandrus classes, which means they are multi-flowering, fragrant or both!
Their flowers are often windswept and their cups are elegantly long or impudently short (and cute as buttons). Their foliage is often thinner, more reed-like. Their heights range from 4" to 18". They're all adorable, and once you grow them, you'll fall head-over-heels in love with them.
