American Propaganda Brings Memories of Nazi Germany

Fritz Pointer DWF NEWS

WELCOME TO DWF NEWS & WORLD PUBLIC INTEREST JOURNALISM

The upcoming UN Summit of the Future will likely be a disappointment to those world federalists who believe we need to replace the obsolete UN Charter with the Earth Constitution, the latter which can provide a guide, model and authority for establishing a better structure for global governance and an exciting new geopolitical system.

This issue of DWF NEWS highlights some of the ways that the American and European public are hoodwinked to support war. Reporting is one-sided. In the present situation Israel and the US pretend to be the "good guys." They are presented falsely via propaganda methods to appear blameless in order to avoid criminal accountability and to maintain support for endless war.

AIPAC Israel lobby gets what it pays for

The Sound of Enforced Silence

EXCERPTS

That is how it was, more or less, at the DNC in Chicago. There was plenty of talk of AIPAC, the antidemocratic American Israel Public Affairs Committee — a foreign agent if ever there was one — but only in the streets outside the convention hall. Harris finally raised the Gaza crisis, during her acceptance speech, but ... This was “strategic vagueness”—that adorable phrase The New York Times has coined to make a virtue of Harris’s weather-vane vacuousness—at its very finest.

... Her White House will shed more crocodile tears for the suffering of Palestinians, but the unwavering, unconditional support the “Biden–Harris administration” extends to apartheid Israel will remain unwavering ... When you hear Harris say, “I will always stand up for Israel’s right to defend itself,” as she stated last Thursday, it is the recipient of AIPAC funds speaking in the code the Israel lobby understands: Worry not. You will get what you have paid for.

Yes, they will continue supporting terrorist Israel and the Nazi-infested regime in Ukraine just as they have to date, but they will avoid talking to you and me about the imperium’s gruesome business as they conduct it. Silence on such matters will be as gold to these people, ... Kamala Harris, or the cynical operatives busily inventing Kamala Harris, are selling “joy” this political season, not any kind of sober, responsible view of our circumstances.      READ MORE

Use of censorship to cover-up Israeli world crimes

No Good News in Armageddon

EXCERPTS

Israel has ramped up its assault on the West Bank with an incursion the likes of which has not been seen since 2002, at the same time we learn that the Biden administration has been scrambling to increase its weapons shipments to Israel.

This is the same Biden administration that Americans have been assured is working tirelessly” and “around the clock for a ceasefire in Gaza. They’re committing genocide and lying about it while laughing and grinning and celebrating the “joy” of the Kamala Harris campaign.

Meanwhile in the U.K., the government is going insane arresting critics of Israel’s Western-backed atrocities for speech crimes.

Prominent pro-Palestinian voices Richard MedhurstSarah Wilkinson and Richard Barnard have all been targeted by counter-terrorism police in recent days under the British Terrorism Act on the allegation that they have been too supportive of forbidden groups in their expression of political opinion about recent events in the Middle East. They join British journalist Kit Klarenberg and former British Ambassador Craig Murray, who came under attack for speech crimes under the same law last year.

Something similar is happening in Australia, where high-profile journalist Mary Kostakidis faces charges of violating the Racial Discrimination Act for two retweets about Israel and Hezbollah which offended the Zionist Federation of Australia. This move came shortly after the Australian government appointed its first “anti-Semitism envoy,” a move many feared would lead to crackdowns on speech that is critical of Israel. READ MORE

UN Summit of the Future Needs the Earth Constitution

Roger Kotila DWF NEWS

For world federalists like Einstein, it would be no surprise that the United Nations has been unable to do its primary job which is to end war. In this regard the UN has been a spectacular failure. Why? The UN Charter is wrong.

The Charter is treaty-based which is one of the core weaknesses. Treaty agreements are too easily broken. The Center for UN Constitutional Research (CUNCR, Brussels) points out that what is needed for the UN is a world constitution. CUNCR originated the movement for Article 109 to launch a legally required Charter Review, not yet conducted by the UN.

Will the upcoming UN Summit of the Future fix the UN so it can do its job? Most likely, no. Why? The Summit features over 50 "action items" none of which address the underlying fatal flaws in the Charter.

The World Constitution & Parliament Association (WCPA) has analyzed the Charter and drafted over a period of 30 years a democratic world constitution, designed to correct the problems found in the outdated, Charter.

The UN is decidedly undemocratic with only 5 nations given meaningful voting rights. The UN Security Council P-5 have failed miserably because of their veto power, while there are 187 nations denied voting rights. The House of Nations from the Earth Constitution corrects that flaw.

The UN General Assembly lacks the vote except to make "recommendations" to the UN Security Council. If the General Assembly turns to the Earth Constitution (EC), the UNGA can give itself voting rights utilizing the authority of the EC.

The UN Charter lacks enforceable world law. There are no world federal marshals or police to enforce UN standards and conventions.  As a result, Bully nations mock international law, and routinely commit world crimes. The leaders responsible for the crimes are above the Law and openly defy and ignore the International Criminal Court.

I would like to see the UN General Assembly move away from the Future Summit "action" items which mostly are a distraction which avoids the real problem -- the UN Charter. The General Assembly should instead launch a special 109 review which compares the UN Charter to the Earth Constitution. Which governing model is more democratic? Which one could end war? Eliminate nuclear weapons? Which one has a well thought-out world judiciary system with enforcement, thus able to end global anarchy?

Finally, should you and I have a vote on global affairs? One path underway is by the Earth Constitution Institute which is establishing a House of Peoples to give democratic representation to the Earth's 7.5 billion people. There will be 1000 electoral districts. Representatives are now being sought in these districts with a meeting of a Provisional World Parliament to be held in India in December, 2025.

CIA Cutout Promotes Unverified Claims That North Korea Executed People for Watching South Korean Soap Operas

Jeremy Kuzmarov

 EXCERPTS

In late July, the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), a CIA cutout that specializes in regime-change propaganda, hosted a set of conferences where panelists alleged that North Korea had executed a 22-year-old man for watching South Korean soap operas.

The allegations had earlier been reported in the New York Post and other media outlets, which cited a 2024 human rights report put out by South Korea’s Ministry of Unification.

North Korea is in the NED’s crosshairs because it is a defiant socialist country that survived a U.S. imperialist invasion in 1950 and has thwarted U.S. efforts to establish a military beachhead in a unified Korea from which it (the U.S.) could attack Communist China.

Bruce Cumings’ book, North Korea: Another Country, shows that the fallacy of these latter predictions stems from an inability to understand the reasons behind the Kim dynasty’s popularity.

Founded by Kim Il Sung, that dynasty led the defense of North Korea from U.S.-South Korean aggression in the Korean War and mobilized the people to rebuild the country after it had been bombed back to the Stone Age. It (North Korea) has also, over the years, promoted industrialization and subsidized housing and provided free health care and education while advancing labor rights.[1]  READ MORE

A Movement to Suspend Israel From the UN Needs a Country to Take the Lead

Anton Ferreira

 EXCERPTS

Israel’s devastating onslaught on Gaza, now approaching the one-year mark, and increasing settler outrage in the West Bank are giving fresh urgency to moves to suspend the Jewish state from the United Nations General Assembly.

Palestinian civil society has long been calling for such a step, and the Gaza war, along with the two major pronouncements from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) about Israel this year, have given the initiative new traction.

The idea is to use the same mechanism against the Jewish state that was used in 1974 to freeze apartheid South Africa’s participation in the General Assembly. The action contributed to the white minority government’s isolation and its eventual collapse.

Craig Mokhiber, an international human rights lawyer who formerly worked for the UN, wrote in a message to PassBlue that “it would be hard to imagine a country more deserving, as a minimum, of suspension from the UNGA.”

Mokhiber described Israel as holding “the world record for breaching UN resolutions.”

“[It] has been found responsible for gross and systematic violations of human rights and humanitarian law by successive UN commissions of inquiry and independent special procedures. Worse, it has killed more UN staff than any party in history (and by a wide margin), has detained and tortured UN staff, and has regularly attacked, slandered and obstructed the Organization and its duly-mandated operations.”   READ MORE

American Propaganda Brings Memories of Nazi Germany

Fritz Pointer

Today (2024) the basic method of American propagandistic activity, as in Nazi Germany, is in the omission of important facts, and false presentation of facts: (e.g. Mexican immigrants are rapists, drug dealers and criminals, Palestinians beheaded babies), the dissemination of provocative lies (e.g. America is a white man’s country, Israel is a Democracy,) and the systematic deception of public opinion (Americans want endless wars for national security, Russia is our eternal enemy, and maybe China too).

Such false “media reports” are as necessary to the US for the realization of its plans for military and economic global domination, as are the production of military equipment and the drafting of military plans. “They are coming to get you”: “The Enemy is at the Gate”: “They hate your way of life”: “Better to fight them over there, than here”: and this latest one, I offer, for media: “Palestine has a Right to Defend Itself”.

Without deliberately spreading lies and rumors, attacking freedom of the press and of speech and arresting journalists it would not be possible for American endless wars to pursue its stated goal of “full-spectrum global domination” and to put in practice the war crimes and crimes against humanity of which it is guilty. In this U.S. propaganda system, it is the daily press and television that are the most important weapons and are all as guilty of war crimes as Hans Fritzsche and the propaganda work he did for the Nazis.

Today, the role of the American press in habituating the American people to the suffering of other peoples and, even, urging war crimes, like extrajudicial murder and assassinations of a country’s leader; it is possible that many Americans would never have participated in or tolerated the atrocities being committed throughout the Middle East, had they not been conditioned, inured, goaded, manipulated by constant media propaganda and lies. The media’s very success in manipulating public opinion is one of the strongest proofs of its culpability in the commission of war crimes.

In *Craig Mokhiber's 8/24/24 article in Mondoweiss: “Western Media can be Legally Accountable of Gaza Genocide” Mokhiber punctuates and embellishes my concern here with a focus on Israel/Palestine. He first notes that “the Israeli genocide machine in Palestine, and the direct complicity of the U.S., UK, and other Western governments are two key pillars in the horrors being perpetrated against the Palestinian people.”

He continues: “But there is a third pillar: the role of complicit Western media corporations knowingly disseminating Israeli disinformation and propaganda, justifying war crimes and crimes against humanity, dehumanizing Palestinians, and blocking out information on the genocide in the West.” Lying deliberately and by omission. Providing just enough information for people to think they’re right; but not the knowledge to know they’re wrong.

So, for example, the Democratic National Convention (DNC), this past August 2024, welcomed on stage, a Jewish family of one of the 109 hostages being held by Hamas as the cameras spanned the sniffling, and sobbing general audience. There was not one Palestinian allowed to say a word about the more than 100,000 killed by the (IDF) Israeli Defense Forces (as per recent Lancet numbers).

A Final Solution

Any ordinary, reasonable and prudent person knows that the U.S. cannot be a neutral or objective negotiator for peace when it is supplying literally billions of dollars in military hardware, intelligence, manpower, etc. to the Israeli side of the conflict. In effect, saying to Americans and the world, “We share the Zionists’ view of you, Palestinians, as ‘human animals.’ That is why we are helping them as much as we can to exterminate you – a Final Solution. We support Israel unconditionally.”

Then, out of the other side of their mouths, offering platitudes to the Palestinians about Israel’s right to defend itself; and you, Palestinians, don’t have that right; you must accept your apartheid condition, your ‘inferior’ human status, without complaining and certainly not fighting; perhaps you could sing an updated version of “We Shall Overcome”?

In 1948 the newly established United Nations drafted a Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), that would declare that: “Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.”

Epithets culled from American and Nazi German playbooks

At the same time, in another UN conference room, delegates were gathered to create a new Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. “There too,” Mokhiber states, “the drafters were aware of the danger of speech that dehumanizes and incites. The final convention would criminalize not just genocide, but also incitement to genocide and complicity in genocide – prohibitions that apply not only to states but to private actors as well.” For example, Israeli press and officials consistently refer to the Palestinian people as “human animals.” Israeli Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant says of the current conflict, “We are fighting against animals.” Comparisons of Palestinians to “rats or snakes” on Israeli social media are an effort to “dehumanize” them and legitimize civilian deaths. Dehumanizing epithets culled from genocidal American and Nazi German playbooks.

It is worth noting that in 1998, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) convicted three media personalities for their role in inciting the Rwanda genocide. Two worked for the Mille Collines television and radio company and one for the Kanguranewspaper. During sentencing, the ICTR Judge said: “You were fully aware of the power of words, and you used the…medium of communication with the widest public reach to disseminate hatred and violence…Without a firearm, machete or any physical weapon, you caused the death of thousands of innocent civilians.”

The German Nazi media, and the Rwandan media, knew what they were doing. Just as today, CNN, Fox, BBC, the New York Times, Washington Post, and the Wall Street Journal know what they are doing, or should know what they are doing. The Israeli genocide taking place in Palestine is being live streamed globally. Again, following Mokhiber, “it is simply not credible to suggest that Western media companies are not aware of the realities on the ground and of what they are doing to obscure them. They have undisputably made conscious choices to hide the genocide from their audiences, so systematically dehumanize the Palestinian victims, and to insulate the Israeli perpetrators from accountability.”

Free speech guarantees do not protect media from their incitement to war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide. “Those acts can and must be subject to criminal accountability. Both defamation and incitement can also bring accountability in civil courts. Actions in international tribunals for Israel’s crimes against humanity and genocide in Palestine has already begun, and more is certain to follow.”

Not just media, but governments too are complicit in the Israeli genocide through providing military, economic, intelligence, and diplomatic support to Israel, along with the voting public that enables, through their tax dollars, this support.

Finally, to quote Judge Pillay in the Rwanda decision: “The power of the media to create and destroy fundamental human values comes with great responsibility. Those who control such media are accountable for its consequences.”
