President's Message

Greeting Sorors,

We have definitely transitioned from a hot summer and have moved into beautiful fall weather. With the change of seasons Delta is always on the front line of serving our communities which is why our hashtag is #communitydrivensocialactionfocused! As we live out our hashtag I look forward to seeing you September 19th at our Social Action event:

Pearls, Pumps & The Polls

5:00pm-6:30pm

Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church

3355 N 4th St, Minneapolis, MN

We will have a welcome reception for our National Officer Rev. Shavon Arline-Bradley from 6:15pm-6:45pm. We want to make sure she is well received by our attendance at the welcome reception AND by our attendance to hear her speak at Fellowship at their Fall Revival. Please wear Red in support of our Soror so when she looks out from the podium she sees a sea of RED and knows her Sorors are in the room supporting her as well as put your pearls on to support our very own hard working Social Action committee as we support getting people to the polls!

Mark your calendars for our Monthly Webinar Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 5:45-6:45 to hear from our Finance Team and our Parliamentarian as we prepare for our October Chapter Meeting.

Always in Sisterly Love and Care,

Soror Stephanie Burrage

Midwest Impact Day of Service

Date: Saturday, September 30, 2023

Location: Northpoint Health and Wellness Center

In just two weeks, September 30th, we will host our Midwest Impact Day of Service with local authors encouraging youth to read and inspiring them to write their own stories. We want each participant to leave with a book written by a Black author. Our goal is to give away at least 100 books. Help us share the legacy of literacy by using the link below and supporting our Amazon registry. The list of books includes many that have been banned/challenged across the country as well as those of local authors.

Would you like to participate in the discussion or know someone who would? If so, register for this FREE event using our chapter website, facebook, Instagram, or twitter page!

Our very own Soror Juanita Benton will be a featured survivor! Let's celebrate her by either cycling (20 minutes per rider/4 person team max) or cheering on our cyclists. Each sister circle is asked to have at least three representatives inclusive of Dolls, Divas and/or Dears.

Let's show up to help stop the increase of stroke and heart disease. Use this link to express interest, AHA will register us directly.
