DSI is proud to introduce a new pedagogical track to the 2024 DSI Annual Conference focusing on the "Role of AI and Technology in the Classroom." This track aims to explore the rapidly evolving impact of artificial intelligence and technology on teaching and learning, particularly in preparing decision sciences leaders for the ever-changing future. As AI becomes an integral part of modern education, it is essential to delve into its implications, benefits, and challenges within the academic environment.
We invite submissions that cover a diverse range of topics related to the integration of AI and technology in educational settings. Sessions may include your submitted abstracts, full paper submissions, workshops and/or panel sessions. Potential session topics include, but are not limited to:
Current Approaches to Teaching Using AI:
· Case studies on incorporating AI tools in the classroom.
· Pedagogical strategies that leverage AI to enhance student learning outcomes.
· Experiences with AI-driven tutoring systems and personalized learning environments.
Course Design and Curriculum Development:
· Innovations in curriculum design influenced by AI technologies.
· Adjustments to course structures and materials in response to AI advancements.
· Best practices for integrating AI-related content into existing courses.
Empirical Research on Pedagogical Aspects of AI:
· Studies on the effectiveness of AI in improving student engagement and performance.

We hope to have a strong set of sessions on topics and sessions relevant to the area. We also encourage proposals for workshops and panel sessions that foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among educators, researchers, and industry professionals. These sessions can provide a platform for discussing best practices, brainstorming innovative solutions, and building networks within the academic community.
