Good Morning Democrats and Belated Happy Mother's Day:
I hope all the moms out there had a wonderful Sunday and thank you for all you do in the lives of your families. We had a great meeting on Saturday at the Schaffer Hotel in Mountainair. Thanks to the staff and management there for hosting us. County Commissioner Sam Schropp provided us with information regarding the work and investments in the county during the past year and our candidate for House Representative Fred Ponzlov spoke to us about his platform and goals for District 22. Sam has done a great job for the County and we are the recipients of many benefits from Governor Lujan and President Biden's administrations.
Less than six months left until the most important election of our lifetimes. The foundation of our government and our very way of life is under attack. Our hard-working Senator Heinrich and Representatives are facing significant challenges this year and we must turn out the vote for them. Let's go to work!
The DPTC will be very active between now and the November election and we can certainly use all of the help we can get to assist with parades and booths at functions throughout the county. We are looking for help at the following events:
Old Timer's Day in Estancia - July 27th.
Sunflower Festival in Mountainair - August
Pinto Bean Fiesta in Moriarty - September 28th
Punkin Chunkin in Estancia - October

Our Post-Primary County Convention will be held June 8th at the Soil & Water building in Estancia where we will elect delegates to the District Post-Primary Convention on June 15th. I hope you can all make it out. We'll have lunch and door prize drawings as well.
