The Drywall Interior Systems Contractors Association, Inc. of New Jersey (DISCA) has a Scholarship Program for the children or grandchildren of management employees of companies contributing to the DISCA Industry Promotion Fund (IPF). The scholarships are to help defer the cost of college and other educational expenses for a two or four-year education at an accredited college or an accredited vocational school.

On Tuesday, May 28, and Wednesday, May 29, the NJ Expo Center will resound with hammers, trowels, welders, and heavy operating equipment as the DISCA and its industry partners host Construction Industry Career Day (CICD).


CICD is a two-day event that invites students, parents, educators, jobseekers, and the public to explore dozens of construction-related exhibits and demonstrations that reveal a challenging and rewarding career – and learn about the many professions in the industry, including their salaries, benefits, stackable credentials, and educational opportunities.

More than 10.7 million people were employed in craft roles in 2023 with the demand continuing to grow.
