Pancake (Tuesday)

Pancake Wednesday is becoming Pancake Tuesday. We are bringing back pancakes on Tuesday mornings starting at 9AM in the 503 Kitchen.


Syrup, chocolate chips, pancake mix, and a griddle will be provided by the Quality of Life Committee. 

DPH Annual Compliance Training

All ZSFG workforce members are required to complete the Annual Compliance and Privacy Training.


To access your trainings, log in to the DPH Staff Learning Portal to get started. Check out the “Quick Guide on How to Access the Portal” to get started and the ZSFG Dean’s Office for more helpful information and resources.

  

To log in to the system you will need your POI number. You received your POI number from DEM General via e-mail on 10/12/22. If you are a new employee, you should have received this information via e-mail from the DPH directly. If you need help with access or need to change your password call 628-206-5000.

Conference Room Unavailable - 10/18

The 505 conference room will be unavailable on 10/18 from 8:00 AM-1:30 PM for the UCSF DOM New Faculty Orientation.

The 601 Oval Office will be unavailable on 10/20 from 4-6 PM.

Air Purifiers in DEM

With the return of food and drinks in meetings, we have purchased air purifiers for the 505 conference room, collaboration room, oval office, and kitchen (coming soon).

WINGS Staff Development Grant - Due 11/1/22

The next application deadline for the WINGS Staff Development Grant Program is November 1, 2022. Applications will cover classes starting on November 15, 2022, running through and including February 28, 2023. Grant amounts range between $200-$400, depending on the number of applications received for the grant cycle.

UCSF COVID-19 Policy Updates

Be vigilant about masking at work, unless you are in a room by yourself. Food and drinks are permitted when at 50% occupancy staff are present together in in-door, non-clinical areas.


Visitors are required to be fully vaccinated or have a negative COVID test before entering any building on the ZSFG campus. 


Staff can obtain COVID testing at the OHS employee testing tent in the parking lot by Avon Breast Center, Mon-Sun from 6:30am-4:30pm or from the Color vending machine in Building 9.


In addition to Color and PCR tests, home-based antigen testing is now an option for returning to work with COVID-like symptoms.

What does it mean to cultivate an anti-racist organization? What does an anti-racist organization look like? These are questions that award-winning HR strategist Shereen Daniels sought to answer in her new book The Anti-Racist Organization. Daniels is a London-based strategist, speaker and educator who runs an advisory firm called HR rewired. Daniels sat down to discuss her new book, why she felt it was necessary to write, and what keeps her hopeful when engaging in anti-racism work with organizations.
