Del Shores' workshop fosters an environment that encourages writers to write.  Pure and simple.  His own background and personality encourages a writer to explore and create his or her own narrative in their own unique voice.  There is something magical about writing a scene and
watching skilled actors create your story off the page and you
get to do that in his workshop!

We took his class a few years ago as the first step on our screenplay journey and now our screenplay is on the Blacklist.

WRITING FROM AN ACTOR'S POV WORKSHOP

 July 16th - 6PM - 10PM

LIMITED TO 14 WRITERS - 6 SPOTS LEFT!

Location TBA

This workshop is designed to explore how acting and writing are connected.  In one jammed-packed night, we will discuss creating characters, dialogue and (briefly) the different structures of stage, film and television. The main focus is teaching you how to allow your characters and story to dictate the creative path and even structure. Throughout the night, we will complete a few, fun, brief writing assignments on the spot, culminating with you writing a two-character scene for two of your classmates to cold read.  The law of least effort is stressed as well as WRITING SHOULD BE FUN!  This workshop is designed to inspire those interested in writing by focusing on character and story. It is also for those who need a dose of inspiration to start or complete that project that is sitting in your drawer or in your head!  All levels are welcome.  Just bring a writing pad, pencil or pen, iPad or computer and a willingness to trust your gut, not censoring your creativity!

"Del's writing workshop opened my eyes and my mind to creating characters
from the ground up, from the inside out, and my one scene
(we write and we act) hit me like a ton of truth.
