Safe disposal of unneeded medications can help prevent prescription drug misuse, addiction, and ultimately overdose. During the October 2023 Take Back Day, with the help of the DEA Take Back Day events, Americans safely disposed of more than 599,897 pounds of unneeded medications. Let's try to beat those numbers!
The Coalition for Healthy and Safe Communities in partnership with Sussex County Law Enforcement and the Drug Enforcement Administration is promoting a nationwide effort this Saturday, April 27th, 2024. The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is a day to reduce the misuse of prescription drugs by disposing of unwanted medicines at thirteen different locations in Sussex County.
