大家好！Greetings on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival! During this autumn season, the Chinese track students are eager to impart the tale and customs associated with the Mid-Autumn Festival to the esteemed DCI community.

The Mid-Autumn Festival encompasses festivities that revolve around family and community, serving as a welcoming of the autumn season with a particular focus on the moon. A customary practice during this celebration involves the consumption of moon cakes, also known as 月饼 (Yuèbǐng), which are intricately designed and available in a variety of flavors such as red bean paste, pineapple, and lotus. Students in Chinese classes are able to have the tasting of the mooncake and celebrate the festival by doing some art crafts. Additionally, lanterns crafted from paper and illuminated by candles are either carried or exhibited, showcasing diverse sizes and patterns. The origins of Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations can be traced back to the tale of 嫦娥 (Cháng'é), the lady in the moon, which presents a captivating narrative.
