May 22nd, Flexible (Blended) Day for Seniors

There’s no better way to end the school year than by giving back to the community that supports our students and our district. For senior students only, the last day of the 2022-2023 school year is May 22nd. Seniors have the option to participate in a community service project and submit those hours in place of attending school on May 22nd. In order to be marked present for this Flexible (Blended) Learning Day, seniors must complete the community service project, fill out this form, and turn it into their instructor prior to May 19.

May 25th, Last Day for Juniors

The opportunities we are able to provide our students are due in large part to ongoing support from business partners, local agencies, and community members. This is your chance to repay kindness to someone who has helped you elevate your life.

Exciting Expansions to Hybrid Fridays

We are excited to announce new expansions to our Hybrid Friday Options. Hybrid Fridays have been a successful part of our academic model for the last twelve years. In order to increase opportunities for work-based learning and gaining independence skills, Hybrid Fridays will be open to every academic (full-day) student in the 2023-2024 school year. In previous years, this opportunity was earned through the following criteria - grades, attendance, behavior, and completion of the previous week’s Hybrid assignment.

In addition, we are piloting Hybrid Fridays in select career and technical education lab programs. These Hybrid Fridays are earned through grades and attendance.

While providing this flexibility and independence to our students is innovative, it is not original. Career centers in Ohio, such as Butler Tech, have been implementing this model with great success, and we are excited to continue expanding these opportunities for our DACC students.

Look for more information to come this summer.
