January 22 City Council Meeting
All are invited and encouraged to attend this special, regularly scheduled Dunwoody City Council meeting on Monday, Jan. 22 hosted by Dunwoody High School's Youth City Council. The 6 p.m. meeting will be held in the school's auditorium.
The Dunwoody High School Air Force JROTC will present the colors during the meeting, and members of Youth City Council will serve as greeters

Help keep Dunwoody safe and trouble-free with an easy See, Click, Fix submittal when you spot a non-emergency issue within the city limits.
Graffiti, potholes, broken equipment, sign issues, dangerous sidewalks and more can be reported to Dunwoody's public works and parks teams via See Click Fix. The program is equipped with a GPS locator and allows the user to submit photos for thorough and helpful reporting to the city's maintenance teams.

Monday was "A day on!"
Dunwoody's eighth annual Martin Luther King, Jr. was a terrific success! Thanks to the 600-plus volunteers that participated in service projects throughout the city on Monday.
- 200 volunteers planted 125 trees with Trees Atlanta
- 130 volunteers planted 5,000 daffodils with The Daffodil Project
- 75 volunteers prepared the community garden for spring
- 125 volunteers helped beautify the Dunwoody Nature Center
- 60 volunteers spruced up Spruill Center for the Arts
- 15 blood donations through LifeSouth

2024 Polar Plunge
Support the Dunwoody Police Department at the 2024 Polar Plunge on Feb. 24.
Members of the Dunwoody Police department, along with other law enforcement teams, will run into Lake Acworth in temperatures close to freezing, all to benefit Special Olympics Georgia.

Enjoy walks with your four-legged friends, but don’t forget that the Dunwoody Code of Ordinances codes requires leashes at all times on streets and on the property of others.
It’s also the duty of all animal owners to protect people, property, and other animals from their pet. See Chapter 6, Sections 5 and 6 for details.

$20 per time slot, with all proceeds benefitting the Brook Run Dog Park Association.

Valentine's Parent/Child Dance
Thursday, Feb. 8
Registration for the annual Valentine’s Parent/Child Dance is now open! From 5 - 7 p.m., ages 3-12 will learn dance moves with the parent or guardian of their choice with dance instructor, Expressions in Motion Dance, plus enjoy treat bags and professional pictures. Dance is held at the N. Shallowford Annex. $35 per couple, $10 for each additional child.

Camp Flashback
Six sessions throughout June and July
Registration for Camp Flashback, Dunwoody's only authentic history camp, will open on Monday, Jan. 22 at 9 a.m. Here is what's new this year:
- Register between Jan. 22 - Feb. 15 and the flat rate per child is $350. After Feb. 15, the flat rate/child is $400.
- You can register all your children at one time using one registration form so long as they are all attending the same week.
- Camp will run six weeks instead of five to give you and your child more options.
- There will be four groups of 10 children per week.

Membership in DPT is not mandatory to register, but highly encouraged! We are a small non-profit and your donations help us put on a great summer camp experience for your children!
As always, registration remains open until camp fills up, register early! Registration opens Monday.

It's time for DPT's monthly Game Night at Dunwoody's N. Shallowford Annex (4470 N. Shallowford Rd) on Saturday, Jan. 20.
Held every third Saturday, Game Night is a great way to spend time with others who enjoy board games. It also offers a great opportunity to meet new friends (and maybe find some new alternates for your table).

Friends of the Dunwoody Library will hold a book sale of children's and young adult fiction and nonfiction books in the Dunwoody Library's Williams Meeting Room this month.
Friends of the Dunwoody Library members may shop on Friday, Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. - noon. The sale opens to the public from noon - 5 p.m., plus 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27 and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29.

Volunteers needed: Homeless count
DeKalb County is seeking volunteers to participate in its overnight 2024 Homeless Count on Thursday, Jan. 25. (Bad weather backup date: Jan. 30.)
The annual count is used to collect accurate data on the county's homeless population and to track the success of local efforts to end homelessness. By complying with the federal requirement to conduct a biennial homeless census, the community can receive more than $6 million annually in federal funding for homeless services and housing.

Dunwoody High School Girls Soccer Team
Support DHS student athletes and support the environment by taking part in the Girls Soccer Team Paint Recycling Fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the student parking lot at Dunwoody High School, 5035 Vermack Rd. All latex and oil-based paints in any size container, including spray cans, are accepted.
