In 1933, it all started with a great shirt.
The Gambert name has been synonymous with fine shirt making since 1933 when 1st generation patriarch, Joseph J. Gambert, opened his shop on Springfield Avenue in Newark, NJ, USA. For almost 90 years, they have been making shirts in Newark’s Ironbound section. In 2023, they celebrate three generations and their 90th anniversary.
