A Note from the Lay Directors...
Sue and Tom LaMondia
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The lazy days of Summer are nearly upon us and we hope that they bring you peace, rest and renewal! The enrichment event; “Breakfast on the Beach,” presented by the Post-Cursillo Committee a few weeks ago was the perfect jump start to summer. The turnout was wonderful, and so was the food! What the morning clearly showed is that as a community, we are “hungry” to have our spiritual life fed. While plans are in the works for another day of reflection this fall, don't wait to be fed!
There are so many ways to keep the “Piety, Study and Action Tripod” balanced. Commit to attending or better yet, hosting, an Ultreya. What a wonderful action for our community. Remember, you may need to hear what someone has to say or equally true, someone needs to hear what you have to offer! Deepen your study by forming a book club with your group. Fr. Greg Boyle’s latest book The Whole Language; The Power of Extravagant Tenderness will not disappoint. Grow in piety by watching “The Chosen" series or attend a workshop at The Genesis Spiritual Life and Conference Center in Westfield or at Holy Family Passionist Retreat House in West Hartford. Be fed so that you can feed others!
De Colores!
