Tall Ships at the Port!
March 22 through April 9
Tall Ships  Lady Washington  and Hawaiian Chieftain , official ambassadors of Washington State, are offering exciting Adventure Sails, Battle Sails and Vessel Tours at various times between March 22 and April 9. Sailing guests will embark on a three-hour experiences. Battle Sails feature fast-paced maneuvering and live black powder cannon fire as the ships vie to win the battle. A ticket is required for all sailing passengers.

AAPA Port's Day
April 5
On Friday, April 5, Port's nationwide will be celebrating Ports Day. The annual event recognizes the port industry’s role in creating jobs and propelling the economy in nations they serve across the Americas. This year, the Ports Day theme is ‘Celebrating our Workforce’ and is a time to celebrate the skill, professionalism and commitment of the port industry workforce – who ensure that cargo and passengers move efficiently through our ports every day. 
Earth Day on the Bay
April 13

Earth Day is the only event celebrated simultaneously across the globe. On April 13, the Marine Science Institute will host "Earth Day on the Bay" with special exhibits for the whole family. Join in activities like animal exploration, touch a shark, listen to live music, explore the environmental fair, and more!

The event will take place on Saturday, April 13 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Marine Science Institute, 500 Discovery Parkway in Redwood City. For more information, go here .
Touch a Truck
April 13

The Port is thrilled to host this year's Touch-a-Truck event! Touch-a-Truck is a hands-on family-friendly event designed to give children an opportunity to see and touch their favorite things on wheels, and to meet the women and men who operate the vehicles. The admission fee supports the Open Gate Nursery School.

STEAM Fest on the Square
April 27

This year's STEAM Fest on the Square coming up on April 27. This event brings together Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math to families in a community supported, interactive environment. Every exhibit is hands-on, creating hundreds of opportunities for all attendees to get exposure to new things in experiential ways. For more information, go here .

Maritime History Exhibit at the San Mateo County History Museum
April 27
Held in collaboration with STEAM Fest on the Square, the San Mateo County History Museum will host an exhibit highlighting the Port's maritime history.Stop by the museum to learn more the port industry and more! For more information, go here .

On April 27, attend STEAM Fest and stop by the San Mateo History Museum, located at 2200 Broadway Street, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
South Bay Open House
May 4
The Sequoia Yacht Club is hosting the South Bay Open House on May 4, 2019.Come learn about the activities and programs available in and around the Port of Redwood City at this FREE event. Breakfast and lunch will be offered.

The event will be held on May 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and located at the Sequoia Yacht Club at 441 Seaport Court

National Maritime Day
May 22
Created by the United States Congress in 1933, National Maritime Day is a holiday that both honors and celebrates the Merchant Marine and expanded to include the entire maritime industry and domestic waterborne commerce, as well as the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving aboard a Merchant Marine ship. This year's National Maritime Day will be celebrated on May 22.

As the only deep-water port in the South San Francisco Bay, the Port serves Silicon Valley by managing 120 acres of maritime industrial and commercial land. Annually, the Port fuels economic impact to the region through facilitating cargo across port docks. Last fiscal year, the Port facilitated 2.3 million metric tons of cargo, generating $8.6 million in operating revenue. Port success funds City services and supports the local community through investing in local events, public walkways, access, and viewing areas, and offering a boat launch, dry dock storage and other public amenities.

The Port of Redwood City invites the community to join in celebrating the 10th Annual PortFest! Enjoy a day at the Port listening to local high school bands, eating and drinking, participating in arts & crafts and learning about the Port's maritime activities!
