ALTASEA CELEBRATES CENTER FOR INNOVATION GRAND OPENING
Mayor Karen Bass joined the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro to celebrate the ribbon cutting of AltaSea's Center for Innovation. The launch aims to advance "Blue Economy" with AltaSea's exploring new ways to feed, fuel, and keep America clean through ocean research.
CALTRANS TO HOST SECOND PUBLIC HEARING ON VINCENT THOMAS BRIDGE DECK REPLACEMENT PROJECT JUNE 13
Caltrans will hold a second public hearing on June 13 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Peck Park Community Center located at 560 N Western Ave in San Pedro. The purpose of the public hearing is to discuss the proposed Vincent Thomas Bridge Deck Replacement Project to preserve the functionality and structural integrity of the Vincent Thomas Bridge deck and to enhance overall safety of the bridge. The public comment period will close on July 15.
PORT OF LOS ANGELES CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING OF ILWU-PMA MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR TRAINING CENTER
Friday, May 31, 2024 marked the grand opening of the brand new ILWU-PMA Maintenance and Repair Training Center, a $16.4 million, 20,000 square-foot facility built to house reskill and upskill programs for ILWU workers.
