NAM to Senate: Administration March-in Proposal Undermines IP, Innovation
The proposal would allow the federal government to “march in” and seize manufacturers’ patent rights if an innovation was developed in any part with federal dollars. Read more by the National Association of Manufacturers on nam.org.
Editor's note: A coalition of state and regional manufacturing associations is opposing this proposal. GLGA members are encouraged to add your voice to a collective letter opposing the "march-in" guidance. The deadline to add your signature is Friday, June 7.

Business Groups File Lawsuit to Block DOL’s Raised Salary Thresholds for White Collar Overtime Exemptions
The lawsuit is the first legal challenge to the Department of Labor’s new rule raising the earnings thresholds for the executive, administrative, or professional and highly-compensated employee exemptions to the FLSA’s overtime requirements by as much as 50 and 40 percent respectively.
