Enjoy all kinds of games and activities provided by local businesses and organizations including a Wagon Ride courtesy of the Crystal Lake Park District.


Be sure to visit the Colonel Palmer House/Nature Center station for a fun, fall-themed activity. Our scarecrow display is in front of our building at 1 E. Crystal Lake Avenue, visit for a fun family photo opportunity.

Last call! Practices begin Oct 10. Make sure your school can put a team on the court!


Crystal Lake Park District Girls Basketball League for grades 2nd & 3rd and 4th-5th at all District 47 Elementary Schools. Practices begin the week of Oct 10, 5-6:30 pm at respective schools. Games are played on Sundays beginning Oct 22 at Prairie Ridge High School, 12:30-5:30 pm


Registration is also open for a Boys Basketball League (same format as Girls League) with practices beginning in January 2024.

PICKLEBALL FALL CLASSIC hosted by the The Racket Club

Monday, October 9 | 10:30 am - 1:30 pm


Columbus Day's gonna be rockin' at Spoerl Park (7610 Pingree Rd, Crystal Lake) as we host three different tournaments of the pickleball sort. We'll start with 3.5 Men's and Women's Doubles from 10:30 - Noon and then from Noon - 1:30 is Mixed Open Doubles. Format for all events is round robin so that teams play the entire time! Spectators welcome!


$40 per team. Registration is ongoing and remember, only one player per team registers!
