Crusader Connection

May 6, 2024

Dear St. Anne Catholic School Families:

It has been an exciting and busy week on campus. On Wednesday, we honored our Mother Mary with our May Crowning. May Crowning is a poignant reminder of Mary’s virtues of humility, obedience, and, most importantly, her unconditional love. As we crowned the statue of Mary with a wreath of flowers, we are called to reflect on her role as the Mother of all people and to emulate her virtues in our daily lives. We are grateful to the Knights of Columbus for assisting with this beautiful tradition. Our May Crowning extended beyond the church and into our courtyard where our new statue of Mary was crowned and adorned with beautiful flowers.

It was great to see so many mothers on campus for our Pre-K Mother’s Day picnic and kindergarten Mother’s Day Tea.

The end of the school year is filled with many celebrations and activities. Be sure to reference the Crusader Connection to stay informed. Our Candle Passing ceremony will be on Wednesday, May 8th after mass. We will honor our athletes at the sports banquet on Wednesday, May 8th at 5:30 pm in the gym. Field Day will be on Friday, May 10th. It will be a ½ day with 12 noon dismissal and no aftercare.

Wishing everyone a blessed and safe weekend.

With gratitude,

Kendall Shamas, Ed. D

Dear St. Anne Community,

It is with overwhelming gratitude that I report we exceeded our goal for the 2024 All that Glitters Gala! With your help, we raised $119,000 from all Gala related activities, including the raffle, Kids Galas and more, surpassing our goal of $110,000. The Gala was a beautiful evening of fellowship and fun, the culmination of months of preparation by our co-chairs, Mrs. Clutter, Mrs. Hernandez and Mrs. Sparks. Please join me in thanking them for their dedication and hard work. Thank you to all who supported the Gala by volunteering, donating, attending, and sponsoring. Our largest fundraiser of the year was a huge success because of YOU!

I am humbled by the generosity of our community - you are truly a blessing to St. Anne Catholic School. Thank you again for your continued support of our mission.

Have a great weekend!

Abundant Blessings,

Sherri Minch
