Celebration of Ministries Coming in May

We’re announcing a special “Celebration of Ministries” event during our Wednesday Evening Prayer service starting at 6:30 p.m. on May 13. We invite you to share the highlights of your ministry at Crown of Glory this year. What were your milestones? Please email your reflections to

Were you a part of the Creation Care Team, Faithful Knotters, Faith Knitters, Chancel Choir, Chancel Chimers, SPARK Sunday school teacher, Connect Guide, Confirmation Small Group Guide, or High School Ministry leader? Did you serve on the Fare For All Team or the Loaves and Fishes Team? SPARK lesson for this week is about Early Believers in the resurrection! Acts 2:42-47 and 4:32-37. They were great at sharing food, clothing, money, their homes, and their faith! Generosity was contagious and the church family grew!

Gather at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday for this week’s lesson: New Creation! By faith, we know the end of the story. There will be an end of suffering and sorrow. God is constantly renewing all things, breathing life into new situations. Ponder what you have enjoyed about sheltering in place? What do you want to hold onto from your experience during the pandemic?

VBS is a wonderful tradition at Crown of Glory that we have been looking forward to sharing with all of you. Our leadership has been in prayerful conversation and have decided that out of concern for our children and all who will participate in VBS, we will postpone VBS until a later date. We may need to find or create new ways to share VBS with you this year. We will update you to unfolding plans, and hope that you will contact

Confirmation Continues: Distance Learning Class Sessions!
|

Confirmation Students and Parents
Even though we are not able to gather together for the remainder of our calendar year, we invite you to logon to our website at

and click on the YouTube icon for our final 3 class sessions. Each session will be pre-recorded and can be watched anytime you choose. The class sessions will be led by Pastor Reggie and Pastor Laura and will include a downloadable PDF outline. Once you finished the session, each student is asked to complete an online “worship note”, with the TITLE of the class in the heading.
Confirmation class sessions will be available starting Wednesday, April 22

at 3:00 p.m. and each Wednesday following at 3:00 p.m

Beacon Housing Interfaith Collaborative
|
|
Here are a couple ways you can support families experiencing homelessness in Scott and Carver county through Beacon’s Families Moving Forward program:
|
- Health and hygiene supplies for families: We’re running low on things like diapers and personal care items. We’ve created a registry so that those who are able to can purchase items that will be delivered to our program center. Please share this link with others who might be interested.
- Masks: For sewers able to make cloth masks, our shelter guests, staff and residents need them. The CDC has information about masks and a couple tutorials for making them. Masks can be shipped to or dropped off at our program centers on Mondays and Wednesdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Building Use:
- In response to the Governor’s most recent extension of the “Shelter in Place” order, Crown of Glory is extending the closure of our church building, and all in-person worship and ministries until May 4 or until further notice. Thank you for your support during these times.

The Fare for All program has arrived at the difficult decision to cancel regular operations through May 1. The FFA team would like to thank all of the volunteers for their time and dedication.
