On Sunday, we will be hosting a meeting for those who are interested in confirmation this year.
Confirmation is a vital step in discipling our students. Confirmation is a time when the church takes our students aside to help them explore who Jesus is and what it means to be a part of His church. We do this when students are at least in 6th grade because they are entering a season of life where they begin working out their own faith. Any students in 6th grade or older are invited to join us.
During Confirmation, our students will look at baptism and prayerfully discern if that is a commitment they are ready to make. We create sacred space for them to consider where they are in their faith and if it’s time for them to take the next step. We do our best to remove any sense of pressure. We want them to own their decision.
If you are interested or have questions about confirmation, join us for the meeting on this Sunday, January 28th at 9:45am in he Senior High room which is upstairs over the kitchen in the Family Life Center. If you are interested in confirmation, please fill out the interest form found on the button link below.
Blessings,
Pastor Brady

Acolytes Needed
Adults and Children Welcome
| |
The lighting of candles in a worship service symbolizes Jesus’ presence with the worshipping community. We are seeking acolytes to assist with the lighting of the altar candles during the 11 AM traditional service. Acolytes can be children, youth or adults! Children must be at least 8 years old. Please consider participating as we are planning to have a rotation. Email Cindy Ryan for more information.
Healing Stitches is a group of ladies that meet twice a month to make items for local organizations to fill specific needs. Last year, Healing Stitches made a total of 474 items, and 423 of those were donated to various places. Our items include several sizes of pillows, ice packs, and phone bags which were sent to the Midlothian School District, the Midlothian Hospital and Midtowne Meadows. We also made lap blankets, wheelchair bags, wheelchair cushions, shawls, and bibs which went to Midtowne and local individuals. Additionally, we made small teddy bears for the Police Department and the Fire Department to give to the children involved in a wreck or some other traumatic event. If you are interested in Healing Stitches, please email Patsy Stephens.
