Church News

St. Barnabas will be closed on Thursday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.

Summer Bible Study Starts Today

This summer, we will be studying the Book of Acts, along with our mission, vision, and values, in order to learn how we can better Be the Church in a more authentic way. We will also be studying Acts between services, using the multi-media course, "The Book of Acts: The Ever-Expanding Church,” designed by Professor Steve Thomason from Luther Seminary. Sign up at the Welcome Center or by calling the church office so we know how many sets of materials to prepare.

Parents/Grandparents

of Young Kids!

The nursery will now be staffed from 8:15-11:45 each Sunday during the summer, except when otherwise noted. Kids 5 years and under are welcome to spend a little, some, or all of the service and fellowship time there. Parents are asked to sign their children in and out when they use the nursery.

Our summer nursery attendant is Elena Luedtke (pastor Stephanie's daughter.) She is 14, has completed Babysitter Training, is very patient, and loves kids! She looks forward to meeting your little ones!

Staying Connected This Summer

Staying connected as a congregation is harder in the summer. People leave town, go out on the lake, host visitors, and we see less of each other, in general. Click here to read this month's blog.

Other News & Church Activities

Partner Congregation News

You have one Sunday (6/30) left to bring your gently loved clothing in to donate to Redeemer's fundraiser. Everything will be packed in a truck on Monday, July 1st, so we won't be able to take donations after that.

Also- We are hosting the Summer BBQ at Redeemer on July 31st. Sign up here to help out!

We had a wonderful Sunday with our partners at St. Paul's/San Pablo on June 23rd. Pastor Stephanie preached and assisted with communion, and a lovely group from St. Barnabas worshipped with us. Then, we got to celebrate at the Midsummer Block Party. There was free food and ice cream, two different indigenous dance groups, and a dunk tank! Check out our Facebook Post to see pictures!

Devotional Books are Here!

“The Word in Season” devotional books are available in the Narthex. This daily devotional, published quarterly, enriches life with a contemporary message for today's Christian.

It reflects on the themes of Sunday's texts with relevant meditations throughout the week.

Seniors and Friends

Our next Seniors and Friends event will be Tuesday, July 9th at 11:00am. We will start with a worship service, then share a meal together in the Ministry Center.

After lunch we will be play bingo (12:30pm or so). This will be Pastor Jeff's last chance to be the caller (and we know how much he loves doing it). St. Barnabas will supply all of the prizes for the lucky winners. Don't miss out on all the fun! We hope to see you there.

There’s a sign-up sheet in the Narthex. The deadline to sign-up is July 7th.
