Do you have a Musical Talent?
With the choir off for the summer, there are many opportunities for individuals and small groups to share their musical talents. Whether you sing or play an instrument, we’d love to have you share your God-given gifts! To volunteer or with questions, talk to organist Noah Carlson. He can also help you choose music and can accompany you. Let us Praise the Lord together!

Interim Pastor Update
The search for an interim senior pastor continues to move forward. Per the process the Synod had given the leadership team two candidate names that they thought would be a good fit for St Barnabas. One individual was interviewed at the end of June. The second individual decided to pull out of the St Barnabas interview process and accept another interim pastor opportunity. We have thus gone back to the Synod asking for another candidate in which they provided a name this week. We are hopeful to interview the new second candidate in the coming week. As communicated previously, we may not have an interim senior pastor in place until mid
August or possibly September depending on schedules and commitments.
Although Pastor Jeff's last Sunday is 7/21, he is on the payroll until the end of July. We will adjust accordingly and have already started talking about potential alternatives to bridge the gap between Pastor Jeff's leaving and the start of an interim pastor. We will continue to keep you updated as we move through the process. We appreciate your support and understanding.

Summer Bible Study
“Don’t forget! Bible Study on The Book of Acts has begun. Join us between services or Tuesdays at 9:30am to study how a ragtag bunch of disciples became The Church.”

Staying Connected This Summer
Staying connected as a congregation is harder in the summer. People leave town, go out on the lake, host visitors, and we see less of each other, in general. Click here to read this month's blog.

Help Needed!!
We are assembling 100 healthy snack packs after both services on Sunday, July 28th. These snack kits will go to the IOCP, as they are one of the most requested items in their food shelf. If you are young, old, or in between, we need you to help pack 6-8 items (granola bars, crackers, pretzels, fruits cups, etc.) into Ziploc bags. That's it - easy!! Look for the assembly station in the alcove area and help out before or after enjoying your coffee and treats.

This bookshelf and the file cabinets were no longer being used by St. Barnabas so they were donated to the St. Pablos Lutheran Church quilters to use for storing their supplies.
Thank you Karl for delivering them.

The storm that passed through Plymouth last Saturday night destroyed a few of our trees and threw branches and limbs all over the church grounds. A big thanks to Karl Smith, Jeff Carter, Mary Pestel, Carol Talus, Deb Koepsell and the Johnson's...Chris, Barb & Ben who all took part in the cleanup. | |
