Covid-19 Update May 14, 2020
Finding Untapped Opportunities
The "new normal" we all keep hearing about is impacting every industry. There is a new standard of sanitation for all customer facing businesses, but this is especially true when referring to the health care community—dentists, doctors, nurses, technicians, assistants, clinic employees, etc. who have always been held to a higher standard of sanitation.

Prior to Covid-19, most employees at the above mentioned establishments would wear lab coats and other protective gear to ensure the staff and patient's health and safety. With the public's increased awareness of spreading germs, healthcare professionals are now not only wearing a protective coat, gown, or jacket, they're now expected to change that garment in between every patient.
Most of these offices or clinics probably have a service that cares for the cleaning of these items, however they tend to be on a weekly schedule. As they are now going through their protective garments at a much higher frequency, there may be a need to have them cleaned on a daily basis. It may be worth calling around to ask if you can be of assistance in professionally caring for the overflow.

We've seen dozens of Affiliates offering free or deep discount cleaning for first responders and healthcare workers. And those efforts are sure to pay off as we come out on the other side of this thing. But extending a helping hand to clean lab attire could be a way to build off of that and make up for some of those lost sales now.
No-Sew Face Coverings
Many cities and states are going back to work in the coming weeks, attempting to provide their citizens with some form of normalcy and bring their local economies back to a sustainable place. One of the many requirements most lawmakers are implementing is employees must wear masks, and in many cases patrons as well.

These masks unfortunately can be difficult to come by in some cases. Many GreenEarth Affiliates have taken to sewing masks for their community, and that is a heartwarming story for us to see and share. However, many Affiliates, and especially other business owners, may not have the luxury of seamstresses on staff. And while you can find masks online, they can be expensive, particularly if you're hoping to supply your staff with them
GreenEarth Social Media Specialist, Zarah Eads, put together this video with step-by-step instructions on how you can easily produce your own no-sew face coverings. You can make these for your staff, or share the video with them so they can make their own. You can also share this with you customers and other business owners in your community who may be looking for an alternative to other expensive or hard-to-come-by options.
Was Your Student Robbed of Graduation?
Graduation is upon us and unfortunately the class of 2020 has been denied that special moment walking across the isle and tossing those square caps in the air in one more gesture of unity with their classmates as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.

Whether we're talking about high school or college, this moment is supposed to be a special time for these students and it's one more devastating blow courtesy of the novel coronavirus.

But again we find ourselves inspired. We've all witnessed communities coming together to find safe ways to honor this year's graduates with online ceremonies, social-distance abiding parades, and even paid advertising. We've decided we should do our part in honoring their achievements as well.
So please, if you have a graduate in your circle who is missing out on a traditional celebration, send us a picture and or video of them wearing their cap and gown, senior picture, or simply with some of their favorite things to affiliatesupport@greenearthcleaning.com. Please include name and location. Our plan is to put together a video celebration of the GreenEarth Network's Class of 2020.
Don't take our word for it!
My expectations are continually exceeded! Their advice is solid, their creative is Madison Avenue! The social media posts are informative and interesting. Zarah posts events in Tucson that I did not even know about. I have had numerous website/social media changes because of Covid-19 and Aaron and Zarah are quick to respond and get it done. I appreciate their patience and knowledge. Thank you for all you do!

Tracking SBA Loan Affiliate Approval
The second round of funding is in full swing at this point and lending institutions are now accepting applications for these funds. We suggest you contact your bank if you have not already received funds.

It is our understanding that lending institutions have been capped at 10% of available funds. So it may be necessary to apply at more than one bank.

Since the distribution of the second round of funds began,  83% of Affiliates to respond to our poll have answered  YES to having received approval and/or funds from their bank on either the EIDL or PPP SBA loans.

If you answered  NO previously and your status has changed, or if you have not answered the question, please let us know.
