Easter Calla Lilies
Memorials and Honorariums
Each Easter Sunday, Covenant is decorated with lovely lilies* donated by members and friends of Covenant Presbyterian in memory or honor of their loved ones. Memorials and gifts will be listed in the Easter Sunday bulletin, and forms are available in the Narthex or in the church office.
Completed forms along with payment of $15 should be returned to the office by Wednesday, March 28.
Proceeds from Easter Calla Lily sales will go to the Deacon's Fund.
*Because of fires in California and hurricanes in Florida, Covenant will not be able to obtain the usual white lilies for Easter. In their place, this year only, the large urns in the Sanctuary will have white hydrangeas, and white calla lilies in the atrium and the Narthex will be available for purchase.*

*NEW* Wednesday Night Study in April
What does it mean to be a church member?
Do you realize that your understanding of that question influences the health, impact, and mission of the church - of Covenant?
On Wednesday evenings April 10, 17, and 24, join Pastor Josh in the Fellowship Hall as he leads a study of the book I Am A Church Member by Thom S. Rainer.
This short, challenging study will help you understand the gift of church membership and how to better live it out. Since the duration of the class is short, the first meeting will assume that you have already begun reading. Books are available in the church office. Contact Missy Wyatt for your copy (missy@covenantpresjackson.org).

Sunday Night Worship Service
This summer Covenant will begin a Sunday evening service.
Why?
To offer another opportunity to proclaim the gospel to our community at a different time than Sunday morning and for those who may appreciate a different style of music. In addition, those in our Covenant family who miss Sunday morning worship for whatever reason, can worship at Covenant Sunday evening. This is not an additional service where we hope you will attend morning and evening, but a separate service entirely. The same sermon given Sunday morning will be preached Sunday evening.
When?
The service will begin in either June or early July at 6:30pm. This will be a "soft" start to work out the logistics and details. A "hard" start of September 9 will be advertised to our community. In addition, the service time will not conflict with the evening youth program.
Where?
Worship will take place in the Fellowship Hall. This smaller and less formal venue will be more appropriate for a smaller congregation that we expect at the beginning. Our prayer is that it will outgrow the space.
The Details
The evening service will have all the elements of the morning service (confession, intercession, etc.) just in a different order. Moreover, the music will be keyboard, guitar, and percussion drawing songs from a number of sources outside our hymnals. The Lord's Supper will be served weekly. Nursery will be available for children up to 3 years old.
An Opportunity
If you would like to assist in the planning and implementation of this service or have any questions contact Pastor Cole - jcole@covenantpresjackson.org.
