County, Colonial celebrate future John G. Leach School
County Executive Matt Meyer joined officials from the Colonial School District to sign a ceremonial deed for the property that will soon become the John G. Leach School near Bear. The school will continue to serve students with disabilities and medical conditions but will offer a more modern and comprehensive campus. To see video from the event, CLICK HERE.
County Executive tours NERDiT Now's new academy
New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer toured the future home of the NERDiT Now Academy on West Ninth Street in Wilmington on Monday afternoon. The new space will house a retail operation and a learning space for the company's non-profit. There are also apartments that will be newly renovated above the space. County Executive visits Gene Editing Institute at STAR Campus
County Executive Matt Meyer and Chief Administrative Officer Vanessa Phillips toured Christiana Care's Gene Editing Institute at the University of Delaware's STAR Campus on Tuesday morning. County leadership volunteers at Food Bank of Delaware
Members of the New Castle County Executive Office and general managers volunteered at the Food Bank of Delaware last week as part of a cabinet retreat and team building exercise organized by New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer. The volunteers packed hundreds of boxes for those in need on Thanksgiving.
