This Edition: As Hurricane season arrives on June 1, forecasters caution with many forces in play, including warm waters, and experts urge preparation for what may be the most turbulent hurricane season in modern history. From Forecast to Action is the theme for this 38th Governor’s Hurricane Conference at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. Preparation is one of the reasons why roughly 2,700 emergency management staff from the local, state, national and even the international level are here. Officials want to ensure residents, whether new or seasoned to remember Palm Beach County may not have had a direct hit in several years but, it is a matter of when and not if.
