The Midwest Clinic Board of Directors and staff are excited to continue making plans for our 75th Anniversary conference, December 15 – 18, 2021. In light of the current uncertainty surrounding Covid-19, we wanted to send an update regarding the status of our event as well as the steps we are taking to ensure the best possible in-person experience for our attendees, clinicians, musicians, and staff.
It goes without saying that the music education industry is one best-served in-person. Virtual interactions simply cannot replace the connections made and conversations had. We are grateful for all of the virtual resources that helped us get through the last year-and-a-half, but we feel strongly that live events need to resume. Barring a state or city mandate requiring us to cancel our live event, we will have an in-person conference in December.
McCormick Place and the City of Chicago have gone to great lengths to address the health and safety concerns for conference and event attendees. McCormick Place has also received a GBAC Star Accreditation, the gold-standard for outbreak prevention, response, and recovery in the cleaning industry.
