Tardies

Tardies start next week! Parents, please be sure to get our sweet kids here at least 10 minutes before school starts. Remember, elementary start time is 8:00 A.M., and middle school starts at 7:50 A.M.

Lost and Found

Parents, all of our uniforms look alike! Lost and Found gets pretty full throughout the year. Please make sure to put your child’s name on EVERYTHING so we can return lost items. Also, don’t forget to label water bottles- many of those get lost, too!

Parents on Campus for Lunch

Starting next week, parents can join their child(ren) for lunch! If you wish to have the school lunch (provided by our awesome new nutrition provider, Thomas Cuisine) you must sign in at the serving line. You will be billed via FACTS at $6 per meal.

☀️ "Brighter Days" Spirit Day! Wednesday, August 30th will be "Brighter Days" Spirit Day. Wear your brightest colors to show off your Cougar pride!

Note: Clothing must abide by dress code guidelines (nothing too short, please)! Temporary hair dye must be washed off by the following day. Have fun!

Note: Spirit Fridays call for a CCA shirt & jeans. A CCA polo and p.e. shirt can be worn, too.

💚 Extended Care Registration is OPEN!

Registration is quick and completely FREE. We encourage you to register to avoid paying any drop-in fees on days you may be running late and need Extended Care. Students who have not registered by August 31, 2023, will be charged $10 per day, per the student drop-in fee, in addition to the hourly rates.

Note: Preschool does not have to register for Extended Care.

⛅️ After-School Enrichment Activities begin on Monday, August 28th!

Registration for after-school activities is wrapping up today! Some classes are at risk of not having enough enrollment for the class to make. Sign up today! You can access the registration form through the link below or through your FACTS account. Classes begin next week.

📖 MAP Testing is suspended on Wednesday, August 30th as it is Spirit Day! Not an optimum day for testing.

☕️ Coffee with Corey is next Wednesday, August 30th. Hear all about our middle school program from our Middle School Principal, Mr. Corey Waters, while enjoying a cup of coffee and breakfast pastries. More details to come!

💡 ISEE Test Date for Fall is October 20, 2023, for 7th & 8th Grade students. If you are considering private high schools, most require the ISEE test for admissions.

🎻 Band and Strings

Be on the lookout for a t-shirt order link! 5-8^th grade Band and String students must purchase a shirt for the 23-24 school year.

🎸 Band

🪈 Elementary Music

In August, we are learning about the composer and conductor Johannes Brahms. In the next few weeks, put Brahms on during homework time to boost brain absorption and help interpret new information!

🗓️ First Parent Meeting of the School Year. The Parent Association will host their first school-wide parent meeting on Friday, August 25th. Meet other parents and learn about the many ways to get involved.

🐔 Chick-N-Mini Breakfast starts NEXT FRIDAY! What better motivation to get out the door early than minis for breakfast? Every week unless noted otherwise, the PA sells 4-count Chick-n-Minis for both parents and students to enjoy on Friday mornings. Orders are taken all week and due on Thursdays at 2 p.m.

An order form will be sent out early next week.
