At Great Falls we come from different backgrounds from all over the world, so during the holidays, sharing our traditions with one another is one of our favorite parts of the celebrations.
The Feast of the Seven Fishes is definitely one of our favorites so far. This Italian - American celebration is observed on Christmas Eve and consists of several dishes of... well you guessed it, fish!
In many cultures and religions, the time leading up to Christmas is a fasting day which includes the absence of meat until the feast on Christmas Day. What do we love most about this tradition? Well, other than it includes eating delicious fish and other seafood, it brings people together! We also love hearing all of the different ways people incorporate our favorite, delicious trout, and barramundi into their holiday menu.
