February 2024 ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Try and Keep Up
2024 is off to a fast start.

With so much happening in the extended month of February, we had to push this newsletter to March!

You might have caught this headline in the Jacksonville Business Journal, "Corner Lot's projects in the pipeline: What's coming this year".

Six of our projects in progress were the focus story with five of them being inside Jacksonville's Urban Core, a key focus of the firm and the city.

Leading the way is Johnson Commons in LaVilla, which saw the first homeowners to move into Downtown in more than two decades. The piece also updates the development of Corner on Main in Springfield, Jones on Hogan in the Northcore, Artea on the Southbank and Corner Lot's first hotel project, Home2 Suites in Brooklyn which should open in the coming weeks.

Major Milestone...
..down on Main Street.

Corner Lot's mixed-use development at the entrance to the historic Springfield neighborhood, Corner on Main, took a big leap to completion this month.

The traditional Topping Out Ceremony was held as a celebration of all the different crews working to make this transformative project come to life.

The new development will surround a circa 1928 art deco structure that was originally home to Jacksonville’s first Chevrolet dealership. Once complete, the mixed-use urban development will include 201 market-rate studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments and more than 6,000 square feet of commercial space to accommodate retail or restaurant tenants.

In addition, the project will include a fully-screened parking garage, a resort-style pool, a courtyard, and multiple amenity spaces. The transited-oriented development is also located on Jacksonville’s much-anticipated Emerald Trail and in close proximity to Klutho Park.
⚾ Put Me In, Coach! 🥎
MLB players reported for Spring Training last month and that means we're one step closer to a new season of the Great American Pastime.

It's no secret how important Corner Lot views sports. They teach us so many life lessons like teamwork, determination and overcoming obstacles. That's why Corner Lot is proud to unveil the Corner Lot Cove at the all-new Bragan Baseball Complex at Fort Family Regional Park in Baymeadows.

This impressive new facility will host youth league tournaments on three new artificial turf fields. The Corner Lot Cove will be a place for players, coaches and families to relax in between games and grab a cool refreshment or bite to eat.

This will be a great attraction for teams across the region and give Jacksonville to showcase itself as a destination for youth sports and families.

A big shoutout to Walk Off Charities, the Bragan Family and the City of Jacksonville Parks Department for making these fields of dreams come true.
