Save A Life This Mother's Day With Carter BloodCare
Transfusions are needed in one out of every 83 childbirths in the United States. And, according to America’s Blood Centers, the rate of transfusions during deliveries has increased 54% in recent years. Hemorrhaging during or after delivery can lead to severe anemia. Thus, transfusions are essential for replenishing the patient’s lost blood and ensuring the well-being of both mother and newborn.
Carter BloodCare provides lifesaving transfusion resources to more than 200 medical facilities in over 50 counties throughout North, Central and East Texas. The donation process can take as little as 45 minutes of your time, but it makes a lifelong difference for someone else.
In honor of Mother's Day this Sunday, the Coppell Chamber invites you to please donate during our Carter BloodCare mobile drive at the Wellness Festival on Saturday. Please sign up in advance as time slots are limited.

“We’ve heard from residents that they’d like to see more restaurant and retail options in Coppell,” said Mindi Hurley, Director of Community Development. “If you have opinions about the retail and dining options we have in town, or feedback about which kinds of restaurants and stores you’d like to see in Coppell, we would love to hear from you! While we can’t guarantee that we can attract specific businesses, we are interested in learning about the kinds of options the community wants.”

Leadership Coppell Applications Due June 1
Leadership Coppell prepares promising leaders for positions of responsibility by acquainting them with significant community processes and pressing issues. Participants engage in discussions with established leaders, go behind-the-scenes at the community’s key institutions, build their leadership skills, create a lasting network of contacts, and give back to the community.
In dynamic sessions held one Friday a month, August through May, participants learn about timely and relevant issues of vital concern to their city, and how they can effectively shape the future of their community, their organization, or their business.
As the Class of 2024 prepares to graduate, it is time for aspiring leaders who wish to be a part of the Class of 2025 to register for an application.
