Local Business Champion Spotlight
Pediatric Dentist Has Been Serving Coppell Families For More Than 25 Years
Dr. Melissa Rozas and her staff have been making Coppell smiles healthy and happy for the last 26 years! Dr. Rozas moved to Coppell in 1998 and opened her first office. Since then, Dr. Rozas has watched so many children grow up in her practice and now are bringing their own kids to see her. She and her office manager, Priscila Swearingen, have hand-picked staff members that love kids and care for them as if they are family. In fact, many of the staff members have been with Dr. Rozas for over 20 years.
Her office reminds you of a tropical spa for parents and a beach vacation for kids. With surfboards and sandcastles to the Shark Shack game room, the kids feel right at home. Dr. Rozas loves teaching kids about the importance of oral healthcare and how to make healthy choices with nutrition. In fact, Dr. Rozas has a mascot, Sammy the Shark, that visits Coppell schools each year for Children’s Dental Health Month.
Dr. Rozas is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She specializes in treating newborns, infants, children and teens. She and her team have extensive training and experience in caring for children with special needs or intricate medical diagnosis. Most recently she has expanded her practice to include an airway centric approach to treating children and helping her patients breathe, sleep, and thrive to their fullest potential. To learn more about Dr. Rozas and her team and office, please visit rozasdds.com.

Leadership Coppell Applications Due June 1
Leadership Coppell prepares promising leaders for positions of responsibility by acquainting them with significant community processes and pressing issues. Participants engage in discussions with established leaders, go behind-the-scenes at the community’s key institutions, build their leadership skills, create a lasting network of contacts, and give back to the community.
In dynamic sessions held one Friday a month, August through May, participants learn about timely and relevant issues of vital concern to their city, and how they can effectively shape the future of their community, their organization, or their business.
As the Class of 2024 prepares to graduate in May, it is time for aspiring leaders who wish to be a part of the Class of 2025 to register for an application.
