Update from the Board of Directors
Kenai Mayor Pat Porter (photo) gave the CIRCAC Board of Directors a warm welcome at its April 15th Board and Annual Meeting in Kenai, marking our 26th Anniversary with balloons,
after which the Council quickly got down to business. In addition to reports from the Executive Director and staff, the agenda included an update from BlueCrest Energy on its Cosmopolitan operations and the opportunity for the Board to question the
Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) and Harvest Alaska, LLC, about a minor contingency plan amendment and February 17th unannounced drill at the Drift River Oil Terminal.
Meet Molly McCammon, representing the Municipality of Anchorage
Molly McCammon has represented the Municipality of Anchorage on the CIRCAC Board of Directors for 12 years, reporting to every Anchorage Mayor since George Wuerch.
CIRCAC welcomes new public members to Environmental Monitoring and PROPS Committees CIRCAC's Environmental Monitoring Committee (EMC) and Prevention, Response, Operations and Safety (PROPS) Committee gained a wealth of experience with the appointment of its three newest public members, Richard Frederic, Maria A. Thibodeau Offer and Captain Bob Pawlowski.

CIRCAC is conducting two coastal surveys in May, along the western Alaska peninsula, collaborating with NOAA, the National Park Service and Coastal and Oceans Resources Inc. (CORI)
