What is Flow-Crete® Pipe?

TPG FRP and Flow-Crete Used in $439M Project Western Bays Constructors Joint Venture will reline more than 44,000 linear feet of an existing 72" waterline with 60" Thompson Pipe Group fiberglass reinforced pipe (FRP) to connect two existing treatment plants in Long Island, New York. Additionally, 19,000 linear feet of 72" Flow-Crete®, a reinforced concrete jacking pipe with an integral fiberglass reinforced pipe liner, will connect the rehabilitated line to the existing facilities.

80-Year-Old RCCP Fit For Service A reinforced concrete cylinder pipe section installed circa 1939 has withstood the test of time. The City of Grand Rapids, Michigan, requested Thompson Pipe Group test the physical properties of the pipe. Engineers determined the pipe is suitable for continued service. The pipe was produced by Price Brothers Company, a Thompson Pipe Group legacy business.

TPG VP Appointed Board Chairman of ACPA Thompson Vice President Branimir Kovac is the new American Concrete Pipe Association Chairman of the Board. Kovac is the 114th Chairman in the organization's 117 year history. As Chairman of the Board, Kovac leads the ACPA Executive Committee. He will serve a one-year term as Chairman, followed by one year as an Immediate Past Chair.
