Seize The Moment!

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

I have been receiving a lot of questions regarding payment of contractor permits. Unfortunately, there are a lot of different scenarios when it comes to contractor permits.

If you have an outside contractor working in the building on a paid permit, you should receive an email from DSFPermitUnit@schools.nyc.gov of confirmation on payment before they start working.

If it is a No Fee permit for emergency work in the building you will not receive an email from the DSF permit unit, because there is no fee. You should still receive a pink copy of the permit. Reach out to your DDF and make them aware of the work.

There also may be contractors assigned to your respective borough that do work in the buildings and their fee is waived. There should still be a pink copy of the permit. Make

sure your DDF is aware of them being in the building.

For all of these situations, you should be coding 113 until we receive further guidance on the 113 Extended Use code.

Cover the permits and send in your space sheets.

Thank you,

Philip Navetta
