NORTHBOUND I-5

TRAFFIC SHIFT IN PLACE

Great news! The traffic shift on northbound I-5 between Oso Parkway and Alicia Parkway is complete and all new lanes are now open on I-5. Thank you to the construction crews for your work to open the new lanes safely and on-time. We celebrate this great milestone with the community. Take a ride on the new pavement today!

UPCOMING GIRDER DELIVERY

AVERY PARKWAY

Crews are preparing for upcoming delivery and placement of pre-cast girders at Avery Parkway, June 1-3. The pre-cast girders will be placed as the primary support deck being constructed for the expansion of the Avery Pkwy. bridge. The work will require nightly ramp and lane closures. 

WHEN:

• Wednesday, June 1 through Friday, June 3, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Northbound I-5 lane reductions
• Closures of northbound Avery Pkwy. off-and on-ramps
• Eastbound and westbound lane reductions from Camino Capistrano to Marguerite Parkway
• Electronic message boards
• Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists

The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.

RAMP CLOSURES

Nightly ramp closures will occur this week at I-5 and El Toro Road, as well as southbound La Paz Road. 

Please watch for detour signage and reduce your speed in the construction area.

Northbound On-Ramp, Southbound Loop On-Ramp at El Toro Rd.

• Monday, May 23 through Thursday, May 26, 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Closures of northbound El Toro Rd. on-ramp 
• Closures of southbound El Toro Rd. loop-on-ramp
• Electronic message boards
• Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists

Southbound Loop On-Ramp, La Paz Rd. 

WHEN: 

• Monday, May 23 through Thursday, May 26, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Closures of southbound La Paz Rd. loop on-ramp
• Electronic message boards
• Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists

MEMORIAL DAY - NO CLOSURES
